Does the Massachusetts vote mean that the House should pass the Senate Bill, or should they reject it?
My view is it should get a vote, up or down or side ways* meaning risking some changes, risking the filibuster. Then the Senate can up or down it, or break it up. Speaking of holding water or breaking a mirror.***

Not to mention the road we hoe or Rove. The irony is even more dimentional in the local situation in that, Inslee as governor (re:legislative branch) would be more Obama(re:leg.br.) than McKenna as governor would be either Romney as executive.(re:either state or national leg.br.)  See Romney touting his term in Massachusettes with an 86% Democratic legislature. (It doesn't take much to sit down and cooperate.)  This is no excuse for thinking that divided government means more partisanship rather than cooperation and compromising as Democratic principles. (Further editing if NOT *,^'s may be needed[!]#$%)

My original nuance(intuition) was that Game Change(the book) might be worth reading. While there are alternative opinions on that, I was also suggesting that Fire Dog Lake may have made tenuous leaps. My tenous links are(often) acknowledged leaps that might later be confirmed. My tweak of "framing" was a prophetic hint at the effect on history and The Republic, which sometimes(more so lately) even I have had to work at retrieving.

"The truth hurts" is one of those aphorisms. Logic requires truth, and it is a method of discerning truth. (A deeper or higher aphorism?) However, it is probably only the lack of truth or hiding it that truly hurts. Yet discerning it is a reversal of fortunes* or the irony of nature or law itself that facing it hurts.

"The first casualty of war is truth.".Or rather see how buried the truth can be.

"Europe is not U.S. when it comes to austerity, infrastructure or other investments." The jackpot is that when it comes to comparing austerity, one must recognize the starting point. Also it is not the "entitlements" but the investing, or more accurately, the not investing or arrangement of payment. But it is a bit of a double-edged-sword that is not just about cuts. Austerity is not the only answer, but paying for it is. Europe may have more to pay for, but that is not just on the negative side of the ledger, as they have more social programs and infrastructure on the books and actual works. I might not be painting the clearest of pictures, but I am trying to show that Europe is a different picture than U.S.
